File attachments: attach images and documents to nodes

Screenshots, concepts, spreadsheets: file attachments bring context right to the node it belongs to. Here is how to attach and manage files.

Attach files to nodes

  1. Select a node.
  2. Open the node detail panel (click the info icon or use the toolbar).
  3. Upload files in the "Attachments" tab.

Upload methods

Supported file types

  • Images: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP — with automatic thumbnail previews
  • Documents: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more

Storage

  • Default: Azure Blob Storage
  • Optional: SharePoint, if configured in the workspace
  • Thumbnails are generated automatically for images.

Preview

  • Clicking an attachment opens the preview view (lightbox).
  • Images: full-screen view with zoom.
  • Documents: download link.

Restore deleted attachments

  • Attachments are soft-deleted first.
  • Restore them in the "Deleted files" panel (toolbar).
  • Administrators can clean up deleted files permanently.

Good to know

  • The maximum file size depends on your workspace storage configuration.
  • Change the order of attachments via drag & drop in the panel.

Which file types can I attach?

Images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP) with automatic thumbnail previews, plus documents such as PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Where are attachments stored?

By default in Azure Blob Storage. Optionally, the workspace can configure SharePoint as the storage location.

Can I restore deleted attachments?
